IOTA features Stelarc’s StickMan/miniStickMan.
StickMan/miniStickMan is a minimal but full-body exoskeleton that algorithmically actuates the artist with six degrees-of-freedom.
Sixty-four possible combinations of gestures are generated. Sensors on StickMan generate sounds that augment the pneumatic noise and register the limb movements.
Durational performance 3:00-7:00pm, followed by the closing reception of the Bio Art Series from 7:00-8:00pm.
This event is free and open to everyone.
The venue is fully accessible.
The exhibition runs from May 30 – June 21 (Wed through Sat, noon to 5pm, Thursday 2pm to 7pm)
