Welcoming New Curatorial Research Assistant

So pleased to share that IOTA is welcoming Curatorial Research Assistant Amanda Shore to work on the IOTA Bio Art Curatorial Research project. Welcome Amanda!

⚡️⚡️⚡️Amanda Shore is writer and curator based in Halifax. Her art criticism has been published in Canadian Art, Visual Arts News, and C Magazine, and she is a coordinator for the SSHRC-funded project “Inuit Futures in Arts Leadership: The Pilimmaksarniq/Pijariuqsarniq Project.” She was the Centre for Art Tapes curator-in-residence in 2017, and her curatorial projects include Sound Etiquette (Khyber Centre for the Arts, 2017), Outside the Box 5.0 (Toronto Offsite Design Festival, 2017), and Symphony of Hunger: Digesting Fluxus in Four Movements (A Plus A Gallery, 2015). She holds a BA in Art History from NSCAD University, and a certificate from the School for Curatorial Studies Venice. Shore is currently pursuing her Master’s in Art History at Concordia University, where her research focuses on settler responsibility, cultural appropriation, and craft-based actions of solidarity. ⚡️⚡️⚡️
